Deshmukh is the son of the former chief minister from Maharashtra and the Union Minister of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises India, Vilasrao Deshmukh, and Vaishali.

He has an older brother named Amit and one younger sister named Dheeraj. Politician Diliprao Deshmukh is his uncle.
