Akbar Allahabadi is a well-known poet of Urdu. His original name is Akbar Hussain Rizvi, popularly known as Akbar Allahabadi. He was born on 16 November 1846 in Allahabad in, India.

Due to his native town Allahabad, he is mainly known as Akbar Allahabadi.
